How Do Nurse Yard’s Compression Socks for Plantar Fasciitis Differ?

Most compression socks for plantar fasciitis only offer compression around the arch and instep of the foot. While this alleviates some foot pain, Nurse Yard took our sock design a step further to offer complete comfort and the best possible pain relief.

Our state-of-the-art designstarts with wave-knit compression that’s snug around the ankle and gently graduates to moderate pressure just below the knee. The ankle is also cushioned to support your joints, and there’s support in the arches to help ease plantar fasciitis heel pain. As a final touch, we added a no-slip cuff so you can enjoy the benefits of wearing compression socks without needing to adjust them.

Risk Free 60 Day Guarantee

We proudly stand behind our product, which is why we offer a lengthy guarantee.

If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, return it within 60 days of your purchase for a full refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do Compression Socks Help with Plantar Fasciitis?

Pain and discomfort from plantar fasciitis come from the overuse of the plantar fascia ligaments that run across the bottom of your foot. When strained, these ligaments become inflamed and can cause pain and inflammation in the heel that also affects the rest of the leg.

Graduated compression socks provide relief by supporting the ligaments in the arch of your foot and applying pressure to your calves to reduce inflammation. The pressure prevents fluid buildup in your feet and legs, which also helps relieve pain.

What is Nurse Yard’s Design for Plantar Fasciitis Compression Socks?

Some compression socks for plantar fascia heel pain only offer pressure. With Nurse Yard’s specialized design, you get a complete comfort system that delivers compression where you need it most and offers support and cushioning from toe to knee.

Our design features include:

  • Breathable fit in the foot
  • Supported arches
  • Cushioning in the ankles
  • Graduated compression
  • Knitted slip-free cuff

How Do I Know What Size of Compression Sock to Get?

When choosing your compression socks, it’s important to get the right size to enjoy the maximum benefits. If they’re too loose, they may fall down—too tight, and they could disrupt your circulation.

To determine which is best for you, simply measure the widest part of your calf with a flexible measuring tape, then compare that measurement and your shoe size to Nurse Yard’s sizing chart. For instance, if you wear a size 9 shoe and your calf measures 13 inches, our women’s size L/XL will fit you best.

Some people fall between sizes. In this case, it’s best to choose the size that will fit your foot the best. For example, if you prefer snug socks, you should choose the smaller of the two sizes.

Does Nurse Yard Have Different Colors & Sizes of Plantar Fasciitis Socks?

At Nurse Yard, we want to help as many people as possible enjoy the benefits of compression socks, so we offer men’s and women’s sizes from S/M to XXXL.

  • White: white and gray with light gray toe and heel
  • Blue: blue and gray with white toe and heel
  • Green: green with gray design

  • Pink: pink and gray with white toe and heel

If you work or have an interest in medicine or science, you may like the styles from our HERO series compression socks, which include:

  • Scrub Life: white with blue details and teal scrubs print
  • DNA: yellow with multicolored DNA strand print
  • Ambulance: teal with white ambulance print, orange toe and heel

We offer all of our styles in every size for both men and women.

How Do Compression Socks Measure Tightness?

The tightness of compression socks is measured using millimeters of mercury (mmHg), which measures the pressure inside liquids. The higher the mmHg of your compression socks, the greater pressure they apply to your feet and legs.

Starting with the ankle, our compression socks for plantar fasciitis deliver 30mmHg of firm pressure, 25mmHg of slightly lighter pressure to the calf muscles, and 20mmHg of mild pressure just below the knee.

This graduated pressure system helps alleviate plantar fasciitis with:

  • Better blood flow
  • Muscle and tendon support
  • Reduced inflammation

Compression socks

I love my compression socks. They fit great. My feet and legs feel so much better

Hi Catrina,

It's fantastic to hear that your compression socks are providing such relief and comfort! Properly fitting compression socks can make a significant difference in how your feet and legs feel, especially during long periods of activity or standing. Happy to hear you're enjoying the benefits!

Great fit

My husband never likes anything but I wanted him to try compression socks. He was was skeptical so I bought them for "me" and wore them one time. I mentioned them and and asked" would you like to try? They will fit your calf measurement." I showed him how to put them on and the next day he said, "I really thought compression socks were a waste of money. I could not believe how good my legs felt after using them for just a few hours." He's sold on them. He still thinks they are ugly but they made his legs feel go good, he's going to wear them again. As for ugly, they are not, they just don't look like his socks so that makes them automatically ugly.

Hi Tamsin,

It's wonderful to hear that your husband found relief and comfort with the compression socks, despite initial skepticism! Sometimes, experiencing the benefits firsthand can change perceptions. Happy to hear you and your husband is enjoying the benefits!

You don’t have to be a.nurse . . .

My son was commenting on how sore his legs were. He works the big machines on road construction. So I bought him a pair for Christmas and he loves them. Says his legs feel so much better. I’m ordering him more after I submit this review.

Hi Jeanne,

That's fantastic to hear that the Nurse Yard compression socks have made a positive difference for your son, especially considering the demanding nature of his work on road construction. It's great that he's experiencing relief and comfort. Wishing him continued comfort and success on the job!

It works!

So I essentially bought 2 pairs for my daughter, who is on her feet all day for work. She's constantly complaining how she's achy by the end of her shift. I would constantly massage her legs for some relief. I got these as stocking stuffers and as a young adult, she was meh about it, thinking it could possible work but she did try it on her next shift. She came home saying how much it works! She can tell the difference and doesn't feel achy by the end of her shift. She's now so happy to have them now. I might need to purchase more!

Hi Anna,

It's fantastic to hear that Nurse Yard compression socks have made a positive impact on your daughter's comfort during her long shifts. It's not uncommon for people who spend extended periods on their feet to experience fatigue and discomfort, and compression socks can offer valuable support in such situations. It's great that your daughter tried them and found relief. Wishing her continued comfort during her workdays!

They don't slide down and fit my wide calf perfectly and comfortable. I would definitely recommend them to all who are suffering with leg pain, nerve pain, and planter faccitis. I just ordered 2 more.
